Rules & Regulations

General Rules:

  1. Both parents must be present at the time of admission and interview.
  2. Students of K.G. onwards will take an admission test prior to an interview with the Principal. Younger children (2.5-4 years old) will have an informal assessment combined with an interview of both parents.
  3. The date of birth entered in school records at the time of admission will be final.
  4. The decision of the school regarding the admission cannot be challenged in any way and shall be final. In case of a withdrawal, a written application must reach the office at least one month before the beginning of the next fee term.
  5. Students are to be dropped to school and picked up at the specific school timings. (The school attaches great importance to punctuality). The school will not be responsible if the student is not collected within one hour of the home time.
  6. The school will issue an identity card for each student. In order to collect the child from school, the identity card must be presented at the gate.
  7. Students are not to bring money to school. Request for payments for any expenses will be made by a written notice or circular from the school office.
  8. Students suffering from infectious diseases or ailments should not be sent to school until they have recovered sufficiently. Parents should conduct regular lice checks to prevent infestation.
  9. Jewellery and other expensive personal items are not allowed in school.
  10. The custodial staff (guards, ayahs, etc.) is not to be tipped directly.
  11. The school reserves the right to suspend or expel a student on disciplinary, academic or other grounds without prior notice and without the refund of any fee.
  12. Any change of address and/or telephone number must be reported to the school office in writing immediately. Making an appointment is required if the parents wish to meet any teacher apart from the Parent Teacher Meetings.
  13. Late comers for the morning assembly may be fined or they may be denied attending school that day.

Discipline Policy:

  • To ensure a high standard of discipline in the school, it is highly important that the students arrive on time. Students, who are late by no more than 5 minutes twice in one week, will not be fined a sum of Rs. 100.
  • Students late more than thrice in one week up to 5 minutes, will be subjected to fines. Each day the child is late his fine will increase by 50 Rupees.

Example

1st lateness – no fine
2nd lateness – no fine
3rd lateness – Rs. 100
4th lateness – Rs. 150
5th lateness – Rs. 200 

  • After the 5th lateness in one month, the student will not be allowed to attend the school and will be sent back home for persistent lateness. A letter will be sent to the parents asking them to attend a meeting with the school administration.
  • If a student is late by more than 10 minutes on any given day, he/she will not be allowed to enter the school Premises and will be sent back home from the gate. Please make sure your drivers are aware of this rule.

  • These measures have been put in place for the benefit of the school so that it runs effectively and efficiently with the least amount of disruption to the system. Parents are encouraged to make sure they take lateness as a serious matter and help us by doing what they can to eradicate this problem.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend or other grounds without prior notice and without the refund of any fee.
  • Proper uniform is to be worn daily.The haircut and nails is considered compulsory as a part of the uniform. Students failing to have a proper haircut will be asked to get one in the school premises.
